As she is now becoming known far and wide, God of Garage Pop, Ricki, invented herself in East Nashville, TN in the summer heat of 2018. It was a tiny, one-room apartment off of Scott Avenue where she engineered, produced and played every note of her forthcoming debut full-length album, Naked Dreamer. She wrote all of the songs (with help from Aaron Lee Tasjan on Retirement Plan). With a DIY Punk ethos, she took apart and soldered a new transistor into the Tascam cassette 4 track machine that inspired her to create this raw and ready Rock’n’roll masterpiece.
The album’s lead off single, You’re Wrong, is a feisty, sludgy anthem with attitude. Take the song as a suggestion; free yourself from ridged expectations. Ricki’s world is one in which black and white thought is obliterated by the pure power of her voice, songs and guitar. It’s her turn to talk. Shut up and listen!
